This is my online portfolio. I'm a UX designer with experience of interactive apps, web, educational games, films and more. I always seek to push for creative solutions within user-defined constraints, with service and function top of mind. Ideally, the solutions are so essential and seamless that the technology becomes invisible.

An outdoor interactive screen - UX

Atracta, Sweden's leading outdoor advertising agent, came to us with the challenge of filling a new outdoor screen with creative content. We created a B2B solution, allowing creatives to showcase their beautiful work at the screen and get paid by advertisers.

Role: UX research and design, art direction

Learnings & insights: To navigate between user and business needs and also the constraints of a public space, it was crucial for us to find the innermost desires of all involved parties and accomodate them in the solution. To do that, we involved Atracta, the Stureplan users, creators and advertisers in five iterative UX wheels.

Role: Game design, user interface design, copy

Learnings & insights: The design of The Treasure Box was based on the idea of collecting treasures in a typesetter drawer. To keep the experience intact, we created features such as a secret compartment in the bottom keyhole drawer, revealing menu functions. Also, the shelf itself could act as a secret door, revealing a backside with more gameplay. Complete with squeaking sounds!

Role:
Creative concept, script, storyboarding, art direction

Learnings & insights: Even when dealing with information-savvy researchers, getting a complex message across in a 3-min format without stupidifying it is tricky business. We worked a lot with familiar symbols and visuals that would give the viewer a more receptive mindset of the specific content.

Content needs clever design to travel efficiently from point A to B. Making that a smooth ride is a pleasure of mine.

What I do will always be depending on why I do it. Like McLuhan so brilliantly worded it, the medium is the message. Nevertheless, digital products are fascinating as they have the potential of being an intricate part of our everyday.
